A change in stand

I just heard the rally given by Mr Lee and this was a very significan part. He once said during the voting in 060506 :" If the police take action against you and you are not fighting back, that means there's something very wrong."

Now he said :" If you post criticism towards the government and the government does not take any action or argue back with your criticism, that means the criticism you made is not worth listening to."

Hey, do you think is logical? I don't think so. What I felt was , was there a change in stand or is he trying to say that the government is always right? I'm not sure but I felt this is really unreasonable and ridiculous. Hmmm, maybe you would like to post some comments and to judge the meaning of these two sentences. Aren't he contradicting himself? hmmmmmm.. A big question mark hovering around. =)

This is really weird, weird , weird. My family is actually asking me to find a partner quickly and get attached! This is to stop me from complainting about how sticky my sister and her boyfriend is. gosh. Well well well. To find true love i think it's really hard. hais. how sad. Only if I could find my true love now. Awaits~~~~. People might say there are always someone out there who admires you, but you don't realise. But in my opinion, I don't think any of them existed. Hais.

Childish

This is kinda childish I can say. I wonder why they just like to do such think. Haven't they grow up and be more matured? Is it so difficult to sit beside a girl while having lunch or having any meal? Practically i went out with this group of "kids" and are going for lunch. They somehow found seats that are of two rows facing each other and this few girls sat down on the right and this group of boys decided to sit on the left side and they literally left out the seats which is in between them and the girls. They were having this mentality that when they sit together they will be that kind of boy girl relationship. Don't you think this is a form of childish thinking?

Oh well, this is just one incident. They wanted to watch movie but I kinda don't want to watch any movie. They actually got angry and angitated. Hey come on, I'm just a minority, if the majority of you wanted to watch movie, go on. I won't stop you from doing that I can just go shopping on my own. Shopping is also good for health. If you people cannot even accompany girls on a shopping spree how are you going to handle your girlfriend in future? Or are you going to make them go to the arcade with you and make them bear with the irritating noise made by the machines?

Personally I don't like to go to the arcade and i seldom go too. Seriously I think going to town just to catch a movie and waste your time in the theatre is stupid. Most people are in town to shop and look out for things that they want there which is not available in neighbourhood shopping centers and that is what made the town unique about. Movie theatres are not something special. You can most probably catch a movie in cathay causeway point or GV yishun. But are you that free to go down to town always? Isn't it better to spend your time wisely shopping than a movie? Heh.

Besides, if you think a girl were to stay with a boy always because they are in a relationship or they are having an affair can you just be more mature and understand that they are actually friends instead of those BGR. Going out with an opposite sex alone doesn't mean they are stead. Please. wake up your ideas and be more mature. With your age you can even be a father or mother of a child already yet you people are so childish.

Detention Class Humiliation Class

This is really ridiculous. Instead of going for detention class, we are being humiliated in front of the students from other class. Well, what I thought was detention class supposed to be making us do things useful such as extra homework or to study on a certain subject and get a test. But instead, we were asked to become a cleaner instead. Well, I think cleaning around the school is quite ok. But to clean a SPECIFIC class is ridiculous. We are being treated like cleaners and being humiliated. If we were to clean around the school, I don't think anyone will bother to care about what we are doing and to ignore us. But to clean the classroom With the students inside, I think it's really humiliating.

Having to get detention class for a stupid policy is already very ridiculous, now having to do such thing for detention class is even worse. It's either a problem with the teacher, or with the school. I don't know how the teacher come up with this idea to make us do such duty but it's certainly an abuse of authority. If we were asked to clean our own classroom i will still accept it. Cleaning other people's classroom and get humiliated is unfair. Why the rules are just so unfair? Well, I don't say this because it happened to me. But as a student of the school, no matter who's the one who got punished, it's still unfair to the students. I don't think being punished for a stupid policy deserve humiliation from other students. I wonder have the teacher ever thought of think through how they themselves will feel if they are caught in this situation and are the one being punished. A quote from the channel U programme : " If the teachers don't respect the students, I don't think the teachers deserve the respect from the students too." Get what I mean?

By punishing the students with such punishment is already not respecting the student. Do you think that this teacher deserves to be respected? I don't think so. You may ask why we don't argue or request for another punishment. But think again, we are in school, most of the say are from the teachers and the principal. Not us. Do you think we've got the chance to argue back or have a say in what should be done? I don think so. I really can't understand the policies and functioning of the school. There's always a ridiculous and unreasonable thing that the school will do to the student. But the school always don't realise and don't understand the feeling of the students but is always blaming the students for bad behaviour and reputations brought about. I seriously thinkk that the school have to go through some reflection.

Ridiculous policies.

Well well well. First time ever in my life. DETENTION CLASS!!!! I don't understand why why why. We just got to be punished for STAYING IN CLASS DURING RECESS. Was it a crime or something to stay in class? People, can i ask is that such a rule in you school that you cannot stay in class during recess ? Well, basically me and my group of friends decided to go on diet and cost saving for some purposes, we stayed back in class during our recess time to save up on the COSTLY meals in school. For this, we were caught and found guilty for breaking the school rule. You may ask, what school rule? It is that you are not allowed to stay in class during recess for the school's ridiculous reasons. Blah Blah. Come on! What kind of rule is this? I don't see why we can't stay in class? Although the reasons given might be true that the teachers are afraid that we may get into accident and thus need to find us. But think again, it's being exaggerated that I quote:"We are afraid that you might have fallen off the rooftop and no one realised." Hey, do you think that we are a 3 year old kid? Being so foolish as to play at the rooftop and climb up and down like a monkey? Sometimes argueing with them is pointless, I doubt they will understand. Anyway, I strongly agree that blog is a better alternative for us to express our view since it's freedom of speech.

In primary school I can understand this, but we are in secondary school, 16 years old. I don think such act of stupidity will happen to us. Well, you might say we will be suspected of stealing things, but think again, if we were to stay in class, it gives a sense of security that we are actually helping our classmates to look after their belongings. Isn't it much more benefitting for both parties? We continue with what we want to achieve like saving cost and at the same time, we are helping to look after our fellow classmates' belongings. I just don't understand why we have to follow redundant rules and regulations. As a commmuter, maybe you would like to justify such case and give your comment on what should be done or are the rules necessary. Shall just tolerate with it till we graduate.
